We host the third show and we need all of your parents/families to help out. We co-host with Linden HS and together we set up starting at 8am and then man doors, ticket window, snack bar, BBQ, etc. all day. Show probably starts at 10am and will end around 5:30pm - plus clean up time. We receive about $1,000 from the circuit for doing this. It will pay quite a few of the expenses we incur this year.

Grading and stuff to be aware of...
Grading:
Missing a rehearsal – ½ letter grade
Missing a show – 2 letter grades
Miss two shows – Automatic F
Our Winter Guard instructor is Brandon Yai, and he will keep Mr. Cover appraised weekly of student progress and success. Students on task will undoubtedly end up with an A at the end of the grading periods. Students failing to learn their exercises/routines or music will have their grade lowered to reflect their levels of success/achievement.
Poor attitude and/or excessive lateness to practices will result in an Unsatisfactory Citizenship as well. Outstanding Citizenship will be awarded to students who go above and beyond the program’s needs. Arriving early to help set up; staying to make sure the last bit of equipment is put away properly; making sure the classroom is set up and ready for the next day’s classes; having extra equipment handy; making sure parents are available to some or all of the shows to help haul equipment.
Fundraising – all students will need to participate in fundraising for this activity. Parents may wish to not fundraise and provide money in lieu of fundraising – but we offer fundraising for students so families don’t have to pay.
We will have 5-6 fundraisers between now and the end of school for students to fund-raise approximately $250 each. Keep in mind that each fundraiser typically results in only 35-40% profit on sold merchandise/product.
Parents, we need your help… Please support your student. They will need help with keeping up on their academics. They will need help getting to and from practices and competitions on time. And they will need help fundraising.
